The Aurora Awakens

The day started as uneventfully as any other. Roman chopped wood outside, Miracle lounged by the fire, and Cupid curled up in Jas’s lap.

But as dusk fell, the cabin seemed to hum with an unusual energy. Ivy Mae stepped outside first, gasping. “You need to see this!”

Jas and Roman rushed out to join her. The sky was alive. Waves of vibrant green, pink, and purple rippled across the horizon, casting an otherworldly glow over the landscape.

“It’s an aurora,” Ivy Mae whispered.

Roman stared, his earlier anger forgotten. “I’ve never seen anything like this.”

Then the ground began to tremble, a low, rumbling vibration that seemed to come from deep within the earth.

The animals felt it too. A group of deer darted past the clearing, and birds cried out as they took flight. Miracle barked, his ears pinned back, while Cupid hissed softly.

Jas turned to Ivy Mae. “Does this... does this feel familiar to you?”

Ivy Mae nodded, her eyes fixed on the sky. “The book. The Alchemy of Transformation. It spoke about moments like this—when the world shifts.”
