Lavender Magic

The scent of crushed lavender filled the cabin as Ivy Mae gently applied the mixture to Jas’s arm. It seemed to soothe them almost immediately, though Jas still looked weak.

Miracle, ever protective, barked furiously at the crack outside, as if sensing more danger approaching. Ivy Mae, frazzled, muttered, “We can’t stay here. This is a warning. We need to move soon.”

Jas groggily opened their eyes. “To Edin?”

Roman frowned. “We don’t even know if that place exists.”

“But we need hope,” Ivy Mae insisted. “And Edin is hope.”
