The Message in the Rainbows

Thursday: The Message in the Rainbows

As the rainbows lingered, a strange hum filled the air, similar to the one they’d heard from the bus. Jas looked around, his pulse racing.

“Do you hear that?” he asked.

“It’s coming from the tree,” Ivy Mae said, stepping closer to its trunk.

The hum grew louder, and the rainbows seemed to pulse in time with the sound. Jas pressed his ear to the tree and gasped. “It’s vibrating.”

Ivy Mae opened the journal to a page with a drawing of the same tree. Beneath it, in faded handwriting, were the words: “The light shows the way.”

“What light?” Roman asked, scanning the rainbows.

Just then, a beam of sunlight broke through the clouds, illuminating a hidden path at the tree’s base.

“There,” Jas said, pointing. “That’s where we need to go.”
