Friday: You are not alone
The trio followed the illuminated path cautiously, the rainbows casting an eerie glow around them. The air was charged, every sound amplified.
The path led to a small clearing where an ancient stone circle stood, its surface etched with the same celestial symbols as the journal.
“This is some kind of meeting place,” Ivy Mae said, her voice trembling.
The hum grew louder, and the rainbows began to twist and merge, forming a vortex of light above the stone circle.
“What’s happening?” Roman shouted over the noise.
The journal slipped from Ivy Mae’s hands, landing open on the ground. A gust of wind flipped its pages until it stopped on a blank one.
Then, before their eyes, words began to appear, written as if by an invisible hand: “You are not alone.”
The vortex intensified, and the ground beneath the circle cracked. Jas grabbed Ivy Mae and Roman, pulling them back as the light exploded outward.
When it cleared, the stone circle was gone, replaced by a gaping hole. From its depths, a faint voice echoed: “Come closer…”
