The Reluctant Journey

 Wednesday: The Reluctant Journey

They decided to follow the animals, moving quickly to catch up with the groups of migrating creatures. It was surreal. The ground seemed to thrum beneath their feet, as if the earth itself was vibrating in response to the movements of the animals and the birds.

As they trekked, they noticed more unusual things. Some animals—particularly the larger ones—were moving in a straight line, almost as if they had some instinctual GPS guiding them. There was no hesitation in their movements, and yet their eyes were wide, frantic, as though they were running from something terrifying.

Jas felt a tightness in his chest, a creeping unease they couldn’t shake. "This isn’t just a migration. It feels like a stampede. Like they’re being pushed by something they can’t see."

Roman nodded, his face grim. "Something's coming. I can feel it."
