Friday: The Rising Tide of Truth
Just as the reality of the situation began to settle in, the ground beneath their feet trembled again. This time, it wasn’t just a slight shake—it was a deep, rumbling force that seemed to be pushing up from below, as though the earth itself was protesting what they were uncovering.
The control room lights flickered wildly as the screens went haywire. Jas glanced at the monitors again, and for a split second, everything went black.
Then, a new image appeared—a map. But it wasn’t any ordinary map. It was a projection of the world, but it was covered in red blotches—flooded regions, areas of extreme heat, and a dense fog blanketing large portions of the earth.
“It’s happening,” Roman said, his voice tense.
Jas’s mind raced. The footage had shown a sinking Hawaii, the crumbling ice shelf, but this... this map showed something far worse. The world was unraveling, and whatever was pushing these structures up from the ground was only a small part of the larger picture.
They couldn’t stay here. Not anymore.
“We need to leave,” Jas said firmly. “This place isn’t just a time capsule. It’s a warning.”
As they made their way out of the control room, the sense of impending danger hung in the air, the weight of the truth heavy on their shoulders.
And just as they were about to step outside, they heard a loud, mechanical whirring sound—the Eiffel Tower was moving again.
But this time, it wasn’t just rising. It was shifting, positioning itself into place for something far greater to unfold.
