As they continue their journey, the group finds graffiti scrawled on a crumbling wall: 51st State, My Moose! Next to it, someone had drawn a caricature of Trump riding a moose, holding a maple leaf like a victory flag.
“That sums it up,” Roman says, snapping a photo with the tablet.
“More like My Land,” Ivy Mae mutters, her tone sobering. “For Indigenous people, it was never about borders or states. It was about survival and respect for the earth. We could’ve learned from that before all of this happened.”
Jas nods. “Maybe it’s not too late to start.”
