Endless Journey

 Thursday:

The journey felt endless, the volcanic eruption only getting worse with each passing minute. As they ran, the air grew hotter, almost unbearable, and the earth trembled underfoot. Their clothes were burned, singed at the edges, their hair singed by the relentless heat. But they pushed on, determined to survive.

Roman's ankle was swollen and bruised, but there was no time to stop. Every second they wasted meant more ash falling from the sky, more heat suffocating them. Ivy Mae and Jas were exhausted, their bodies screaming for rest, but there was no time for that.

Suddenly, there was a deafening roar that shook the very earth beneath them. A geyser of hot lava shot into the air from the volcano, casting an eerie red glow on everything. They could hear the hissing of the molten rock as it hit the earth, creating a terrifying scene of destruction all around them.

"I can't do this!" Ivy Mae cried, her voice filled with panic. "Where is the safe place? We need to find shelter!"

Jas looked around frantically, their heart pounding. "We just have to keep moving. We’ll find somewhere!"

But it was becoming clear that the land they had once thought of as paradise was no longer safe. The world had turned into a furnace, a place of fire and destruction, and they had to get out—fast.
